Is Your Husband Sabotaging Your Weight Loss Plan?

You know your husband is thrilled that you have began a weight loss program to lose the 20 pounds you picked up because you got married three years ago. But when he comes home twice in one week with your favorite pepperoni pizza you have to ask oneself what's going on here! Why is he carrying out this to me? As soon as you've lost a couple of pounds, he undermines your achievement.
If this has ever occurred to you, you will know the frustration that comes when a person close to you deliberately tries to sabotage your eating plan. Perhaps it was your mother who goes to the trouble of creating your favorite lasagna, or a buddy who provides you a box of chocolates for your birthday, even even though she knows you are trying to keep away from fat and sugar. These people like you perfect? Then why are they behaving this way?
The answer to these questions is since most folks are threatened by change. They are genuinely pleased that you are trying to lose weight, but really feel threatened that if you succeed, you will somehow modify. They do not even understand they are performing it! Some friends might be comfortable with the thought of you getting fat because it makes them the one with the "terrific body" or "fairly face". It is fundamental to keep in mind that diet plan saboteurs do not consciously set out to sabotage your diet. This is one thing they do unintentionally.
So when your husband comes house with your preferred pepperoni pizza twice in the identical week, it's time to get out what is behind his behavior. When you ask him why he is doing this to you when you thought he was happy with your decision to lose weight, he may be totally dumbfounded. Of course he desires you to lose weight, he insists. Finally he acknowledges that he feels a small threatened by your determination to lose weight. He also tells you that it bothers him that guys made use of to turn and appear at you, which they rarely do anymore since you became heavier.
What is the lesson here? Open and honest communication can clear misunderstandings and unspoken feelings that lead to conflict. The subsequent time you think a person is interfering with your weight loss plan, deal with it by explaining to them that you're committed to your plan to lose weight and ask for their support.
